NRI faculty collaborate with both Chapel Hill campus and the unique constellation of labs housed at NCRC including those from NC State, Duke, UNC-Charlotte, and others. The NRI is housed in a modern 125,000 sf facility with state of the art labs and equipment, core animal facilities, and an outpatient human clinical facility. Subsidized core instrumentation facilities at NCRC include genomics, metabolomics, microscopy, and structural NMR. The Department of Nutrition consists of 60 interdisciplinary faculty members housed in the Gillings School of Global Public Health and the School of Medicine.
