POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE – S. KRUPENKO LAB
Please note that this position is located on the NC Research Campus in Kannapolis, NC, approximately 2 hours from Chapel Hill.
The Sergey Krupenko Lab at the Nutrition Research Institute is seeking two energetic and talented postdoctoral researchers to study the function of folate enzymes ALDH1L1 and ALDH1L2 in cellular metabolism and their association with human diseases. The projects will utilize cell culture and mouse models to answer questions about the role of folate metabolizing enzymes and dietary folate in liver and brain function, tumorigenesis, cancer progression, and metastasis. The postdoc will study the role of ALDH1L1 and ALDH1L2 enzymes in the regulation of cellular metabolism and association of these proteins with human diseases.
PhD in biochemistry or other relevant field.
Experience with protein expression & purification and modern cell biology techniques.
Experience with mouse studies.
