The UNC Nutrition Research Institute invites you to a special Appetite for Life featuring Monique May, MD, the Physician in the Kitchen™, with an introduction on precision nutrition by Kendra Nelson, MPH, registered dietitian, and member of the NRI’s Voruganti Lab.
After more than 20 years as a family medicine physician educating her patients on the importance of proper diet and exercise, Dr. Monique, as her fans know her, has put her passions for cooking and the health benefits of plant-based foods into an easy-to-follow cookbook, Doc, Fix My Plate! Come hear her discuss how she approaches healthful living through plant-based eating.
This delicious event is sweetened by its location, Sullivan’s Buttery at Nostalgia Hollow Co., in Kannapolis, featuring freshly baked sweets and savories, coffees, lattes and cold beverages.
Dr. Monique’s books will be available for sale and signing, and Nostalgia Hollow will be open for shopping.
Doors open at 5:30 PM. Browse the shop, purchase your drinks and eats, get settled.
The program starts at 6 PM at 1111 N. Main Street, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
