Study Purpose: The purpose of this study aims to explore the effects of SPM Active®, an omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid (n-3 PUFA) dietary supplement, on adults with obesity.
Recruitment Requirements: Adults age 25-65, BMI 30-40. If you smoke, are allergic to fish, or take medication for diabetes, asthma, or any autoimmune disease, you do not qualify.
Participation Includes: Report to the NRI for two prescheduled visits that will require fasting blood draws and completion of mental well-being surveys. Consume 2 fish oil capsules daily with any meal for 3 months. Complete 2 telehealth assessments by phone, scheduled at your convenience.
Compensation: Complete visit 1 = $50, complete 6 weeks = $100, complete visit 2 = $225
