Deborah Clarice Andoh

Graduate Student, Goode Lab

Clarice is passionate about nutrition and committed to improving health across generations through research. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Cape Coast in Ghana and her master’s degree in Nutrition from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Nutrition at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is a member of the Living F.R.E.E. Lab under the mentorship of Dr. Rachel Goode. Her research interests broadly focus on maternal and infant nutrition, with a particular interest in understanding how maternal nutrition and health behaviors may influence pregnancy outcomes and infant health and development across the life course. With her background in clinical nutrition and dietetics, Clarice is interested in bridging nutrition research and practice to help inform strategies that support healthier mothers and children. She is eager to continue developing her research skills and contribute to work that can improve nutrition and health across the lifespan. Outside of her academic work, she enjoys cooking and exploring new foods and recipes.
