Mass Spectrometry Lab Manager, Sumner Lab

Yuanyuan Li, PhD is the manager of the mass spectrometry facility in the Sumner-Lab at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Nutrition Research Institute (NRI).  Dr. Li is a co-investigator in the NIEHS-funded Human and Children’s Health Exposure Analysis Resource (HHEAR, CHEAR) programs.  She has experience in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), and incorporates that knowledge in her primary research which focuses on prevention and management of metabolic syndromes, including obesity, diabetes, and related complications. Dr. Li  earned a BS in 2003 from Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, China and a PhD in biochemistry from City University of Hong Kong in 2014.
