Come visit the UNC Nutrition Research Institute for a taste test, Saturday, April 22 from 10 AM to 2 PM! Learn how genetics can affect how certain foods taste to us. Our “tongues-on” activity will stimulate your curiosity along with your taste buds.
You will interact with our research staff to explore how individual differences play a part in our day-to-day food choices. Participants may leave with new ideas and recipes for healthy foods to try at home. Children will be encouraged to express their “artistic taste preferences” on the Cheatham Nutrition & Cognition Lab’s Trail of Taste through sidewalk chalk creations.
Other NC Science Festival events on the NCRC include:
Building STEAM in Kannapolis
Building Healthy Plates with Cabarrus Health Alliance
Plants for Human Health Institute, Earth Day Event
We will be setup behind our institute in the circle. Find us at 500 Laureate Way, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
