Suzanne Dane

Suzanne Dane joined the NRI in May 2014 as Director of Development and Community Outreach. She has provided fundraising, communications, marketing, and programming expertise in Charlotte, NC, at the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art as the founding membership and development director, and Blumenthal Performing Arts as program associate and grants manager. Ms. Dane was a writer and editor at the National Main Street Center and program manager at Historic Hotels of America – both programs of the National Trust for Historic Preservation in Washington, D.C. She has written extensively on topics of architecture and historic preservation, small town economic revitalization, heritage tourism, performing and modern arts, and nutrition research. She is the author of Main Street Success Stories published by the National Trust and five editions of the National Trust Guide to Historic Bed and Breakfasts, Inns, and Small Hotels published by John Wiley and Sons. Her fiction has been published in a short-story anthology. Ms. Dane is a graduate of George Mason University in Fairfax, VA.
