Ashraf Alsagheer, PhD, is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Nutrition Research Institute (NRI). He earned his PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Toyama, Japan, and holds both MSc and Bachelor’s degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Alexandria University in Egypt. Dr. Alsagheer has research experience and training in lipidomics, metabolomics, natural products chemistry, organic synthesis, and anticancer drug discovery. His current research focuses on leveraging advanced mass spectrometry to identify biomarkers for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
